FAQs

  1. Who is the management of YourCards.com?

John Aslanian is the co-founder and CEO.  Rick Mason is our CTO and Steven Marcus is our COO.

  1. Why are you doing this?

We would like to introduce people to our site and our cards. But rather than spend money on advertising, our entire team, management and our Board all agreed that we can accomplish our goals and the same time do much more by helping Marines Toys for Tots.

  1. If there are no subscription fees and no advertising, then how do you make money?

Right now we are trying to introduce ourselves to as many people as possible. We are more concerned at this point about getting the user interface right and making this the best eCard experience on the web.  By doing this we will build a loyal user base and then start to integrate advertising where it is tasteful, subtle and appropriate.

  1. Tell me more about your cards.

All our cards are full flash animation with motion and sound.  We take great care to make sure we have high quality details such as facial features and textures. Many cards tell short fun stories while other cards celebrate the season with holiday symbols and traditional scenes. All cards have the ability to be personalized with a warm message of cheer.  Additionally, some cards uniquely allow users to personalize elements within the card as well as the message.

  1. Do users have to register or are you collecting names?

The answer is no to both.  We do need names to have the cards sent and directed to an email address.  But, we absolutely will not use these names for any other purpose.

  1. Can people voluntarily register and join your site?

Yes.  We do offer that as a free service and a convenience for future use.  For example, we can remind members of important dates, which cards they have already sent and to whom, and allow them to store an address book for future use.

  1. Do you plan on doing this again in the future?

We would always like to be more than just an eCard company.  We want to be an eCard company that allows users to do something good while they send these cards.  We look forward to working with appropriate charities in the future.
